Super affiliates tips. What is the secret?

When you’re just starting out as an affiliate marketer, or even if you’ve been doing it for years, it can seem impossible to figure out how to make enough money to quit your day job and make affiliate marketing your full-time gig. Super affiliates are the affiliates that have taken things to the next level in affiliate marketing. I became a Supper affiliate after I joined up with like-minded marketers at OLSP Academy.

Some affiliates, however, have discovered the secret to earning big paychecks month after month. These super affiliates are making tens of thousands of dollars per month and some even have the freedom to travel wherever they want with their bankrolls.

From My Personal Experience of Being Among Some Super Affiliates

What I’ve learned from being involved in Internet marketing for years: 1) Don’t follow trends—start them, 2) Find a good mentor, 3) Measure what works and get rid of what doesn’t.

You could read dozens of books on how to market your business online, but nothing compares with hands-on experience and knowledge from someone who has already been there before you—someone who will save you time and money by knowing first-hand what methods work best.

If you have no idea where to start looking for one, try attending networking events or online forums that are related to your business niche. There are sure to be other super affiliates looking for new partners just like you!

Super Affiliates Are Authentic

All good marketers know that authenticity is one of the best ways to build trust with your customers. If you’re in it just for money, people can tell—and you’ll have an incredibly hard time building and maintaining genuine customer relationships.

Super Affiliates

The common trick super affiliates use is mentioning when they didn’t like a product, even if they make a commission off of it.

That shows readers they are being authentic and don’t just say anything because they want sales; it’s one reason these super affiliates are able to make so much more than other, more shallow marketers making lower commissions selling similar products on different affiliate sites.

Super Affiliates Create Valuable Content

It’s Not About Being an Expert: If you want to be a super affiliate and make money from content, chances are you’re already reading blogs and surfing around social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. I do a lot of content marketing to promote The OLSP Academy which brings in a recurring income for me.

Content marketing isn’t just about talking about your own business, though; you should always create valuable content for your audience too, especially if you want to get readers interested in your offers or products.

Super Affiliates

If people trust you and value what you have to say, they will be much more likely to click on links that point toward your website or landing page—and those clicks translate into real income in time!

But most importantly: Always focus on delivering value for people through your writing first before trying anything else.

Social Media Marketing (SMM)

Super Affiliates often make marketing plans that revolve around social media – not just because it works, but because they like it. If you can’t stand dealing with other people, then you should probably stay away from social media marketing and focus on more direct sales efforts (such as through your website or e-mail list).

But if you like interacting with others online and enjoy seeing how your efforts are impacting conversions and ROI, then social media marketing might be for you! In fact, 93% of B2B marketers say social media helps them reach their customers at scale—and that’s why we included SMM in our top 10 marketing trends for the 2017 report.

Audience Engagement

Everyone knows that super affiliates drive revenue, but did you know there’s a special group of super affiliates driving even more revenue than other top earners do?

These are called super-affiliates and they share some common traits: they tend to use behavioral targeting (you have access to these tools if you’re running an affiliate program through AMP or through Google), they have effective email marketing, and they’re great at engagement on social media.

Driving Traffic

There are dozens of ways to generate traffic—whether it’s through search engine optimization, social media marketing, pay-per-click advertising or any number of other strategies that can put more eyeballs on your product pages. Solo ads are probably the easiest form of paid traffic. The solo ad vendor that I use on a regular basis because of his results is Wayne Crowe.

Getting Conversions

But what happens after someone lands on your website? Is it optimized for conversion? Does it tell a compelling story about why people should buy from you instead of one of your competitors?

Whether you’re looking for guidance about driving initial interest or boosting long-term engagement, there are plenty of super affiliates that have mastered various traffic strategies—and they’re willing to help you gain insight from their experiences and expertise.

Building Relationships With Brands

The days of being able to leverage your own personal website and social networks are quickly coming to an end if they haven’t already in your niche.

The super affiliates of today spend more time on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and other popular social media networks than they do building their own sites because of how powerful these platforms are in reaching audiences.

Super Affiliates

While it may be tempting to drop everything you’re doing and start from scratch with all new sites and profiles, there’s no need: just make use of what you have! It doesn’t matter if you have one site or 100—you can still attract attention from brands looking for reliable reviewers. It just takes a little extra effort on your part to help them find you.

Super Affiliates Are Great Storytellers

We all love stories—everyone from your business partners to your customers, and even the journalists and bloggers you hope will cover your story when it’s newsworthy. If you want to be one of those I heard it from a friend of super affiliates, it might help if you tell really great stories.

Share anecdotes about how things work behind-the-scenes, what happened when customers had issues and how they were resolved, or any insider information that reveals why yours is THE best product/service in its category. You can follow my journey on Facebook where we can also connect with each other.

Personalized: People love personalization—don’t be afraid to use first names or even references that relate directly back to your buyer’s experiences.

Brand Ambassadorships

This type of relationship between an advertiser and an influencer involves reaching out directly to bloggers, YouTubers, and social media powerhouses and paying them money in exchange for positive brand mentions.

Look on Pinterest, Reddit, YouTube or any other social channel with a robust community of users and you’re sure to find scores of these relationships already in place—and that’s exactly where you want your business to be involved.

To find some influencers, start by reading about them online (like on Forbes) or connecting with potential super affiliates through different circles. Then reach out and see if they might be interested in a partnership opportunity! It doesn’t hurt to ask!

Community Management

Many super affiliates have built loyal followings by actively engaging with their audiences via social media platforms, email newsletters and blogs. By staying in close contact with your followers, you can quickly reach out whenever there’s an offer or campaign that matches what they’re looking for.

You can also use these platforms to solicit advice and respond directly to comments, questions and suggestions about your business.
